Hisham Jazzar

Hisham joined Rising Tide in 2016. His roles include sourcing and vetting investment opportunities from a wide range of ecosystem partners, drafting investment memorandums, and supporting portfolio companies. Previously, he worked at Cappello Global as a Generalist Summer Analyst in the M&A and Restructuring Group, where he went through the boutique IB firm’s training program and was engaged in several active deal teams. Prior to that, he had interned at Eversheds’ Corporate Law division in Dubai and at an Edutech startup called LearnCore in Chicago. He had also assisted in creating financial valuation models on a project-by-project basis at the Riyadh-based PE firm, Malaz Capital. Having lived in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the UAE, Hisham leverages his background to catalyze the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. For some of Rising Tide’s portfolio companies, this leads to unique business expansion opportunities through an established network of local partners. Hisham is also collaborating with a U.S. based bioinformatics company on a country-wide genomic sequencing project in Saudi Arabia in partnership with the Ministry of Health. He has also worked with Udacity’s MENA team to help forge new partnerships that can accelerate the e-learning platform’s adoption and impact in Saudi Arabia. He holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Bentley University.
