Prospect Bio

Prospect Bio rapidly discovers novel enzymes and pathways for use in bio-based manufacturing. They do this by combining advances in synthetic biology, computation, and automation to search massive in-house libraries of genomic information from natural environments. The gene products they discover are the first step of a pipeline that leads to the scale up of a novel fermentative manufacturing process. The discovery of these genes represents the biggest bottleneck in the pipeline, as it can take years, cost millions of dollars, and in many cases, fails. Prospect solves this problem by accelerating this process from years to weeks, all while achieving a significantly higher success rate.
