Solarea Bio

Solarea Bio is developing novel microbiome-­based solutions to treat Type 2 Diabetes and osteoporosis by restoring gut microbial balance. Solarea was founded in 2017 by a group of scientists and entrepreneurs eager to radically alter our understanding of the human microbiome and utilize its power to improve human health. In summer of 2017, Solarea was accepted into the Illumina Accelerator in San Francisco completing a Discovery phase generating a large microbial collection as well as a proprietary genomic database during a 6-month residency and have since moved to their headquarters in Cambridge, MA.
